Episode one
Paid Up
LiveThe free Splitwise alternative. No sign-up, no ads, and no cap at four expenses a day.
Splitwise Pro costs $59.99 a year, and the free tier asks you to wait or pay when you add too many expenses in a day. I wanted to see if one person with Claude Code could rebuild the part people actually use.
Paid Up splits trips, rent and dinners with no sign-up, no ads and no cap at four expenses a day. It's free, it's open source, and the whole build is on camera.
Paid Up is live at paidup.chasebuilds.app. The reel below shows how the build came together.
